I mean who doesn’t love Baby Yoda! He’s just too adorable. I’ve been hooked on the Mandalorian since it started and it keeps getting better and better, but don’t worry no spoilers. Here’s the pattern below. I hope you enjoy it.


Use I(5.5) hook for entire pattern

(ch 2 does not count as stitch throughout pattern)

Using red yarn.

Start with a magic circle.

Row 1:  Ch 2, 10 dc in magic circle, sl st. (10)

Row 2:  Ch 2, dc around, sl st. (10)

Row 3:  repeat row 2. (10)

Row 4: Ch 2, *2 dc in 1st st, 1 dc in next sts,* sl st. (15) 

Row 5: Ch 2, dc around, sl st. (15)

Row 6: Ch 2, *2 dc in 1st st, 1 dc in next 2 sts,* sl st. (20)

Row 7: Ch 2, *2 dc in 1st stitch, 1 dc in next 3 sts,* sl st. (25)

Row 8: Ch 2, dc around, sl st. (25)

Row 9: Ch 2, *2 dc in 1st st, 1 dc in next 4 sts,* sl st. (30)

Row 10: Ch 2, *2dc in 1st st, 1 dc in next 5 sts,* sl st. (35)

Row 11: Ch 2, dc around. (35)

Row 12 – 18: repeat row 11. (35)

(switch to white yarn)

Row 19 – 21: Ch 2, fpdc in each st around, sl st. (35)

Tie off and weave in ends.

Ears(make 2)

Using green yarn.

Ch 13

Row 1: Dc in 3rd ch from hook and each st across, ch 2, turn.

Row 2: Dc2tog, dc across, dc2tog in last 2 stitches, ch 2, turn.

Row 3 – 4: Repeat row 2.

Row 5: Dc across, ch 2, turn.

Row 6: Dc2tog, dc, Dc2tog.

Row 7: Dc2tog, Dc2tog, ch2, turn.

Row 8: Dc2tog, ch 1.

Row 9: Sc around the edge of ear, sl st.

Tie off.  Weave in ends.

Make a small white pom pom, tie onto top of hat and sew on ears.
